BoardBookit, a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that helps small and mid-sized organizations streamline the process of creating and distributing material for board members, launched August 1, 2013.
Using BoardBookit, administrators can:
- automatically schedule and/or update meetings,
- produce, distribute and update material for board meetings,
- securely store and manage all documents, and,
- maintain a directory of board members.
The solution saves time and eliminates the need to track down and distribute documents via paper or email.
Board members using BoardBookit have instant access via an iPad app or web app to all relevant information, which they can easily annotate and share with their colleagues. An Android version will be available early next year. The solution eliminates outdated, paper-stuffed board books and helps board members be better informed and provide more valuable guidance.
BoardBookit is designed specifically for small and mid-sized organizations to be affordable, secure, and easy to use and implement. Developed based on input from administrators and board members, the solution is being used by non-profits, professional associations and for-profit companies across the U.S.
Several Pittsburgh-based non-profits are using BoardBookit, including WQED Multimedia, Entrepreneuring Youth, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Pennsylvania, and Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association.
According to CEO Marion Lewis, BoardBookit was designed with non-profits in mind. “We know how important boards are to non-profits for governance and fundraising. BoardBookit saves time and money while providing an improved experience for organizations and their boards,” according to Lewis.
