Women and Girls Foundation film “Madame Presidenta” hits DC and NYC

heatherThis month the Women and Girls Foundation’s film, “Madame Presidenta: Why Not U.S.?” had screenings in Washington, DC and NYC. Everywhere it goes, the film brings its powerful message for women to become active in shaping their democracies as political leaders and advocates for justice.

In Washington the film was shown at the Interdevelopment Bank Headquarters.  In NYC, Pat Mitchell (former CEO of PBS and Executive Director of the Paley Center for New Media) invited WGF to have the film’s NYC premiere at the Paley. Attending the screening were Liz Abzug (Bella Abzug’s daughter), Robin Morgan (author of “Sisterhood is Powerful”), Carol Jenkins (former President of Women’s Media Center), and Laureen Arbus.
