Candidates for the Nov. 3, 2015 General Election are invited to register and attend the 2015 – 2016 Newly Elected Officials Course presented by Local Government Academy. This one-of-a-kind course is unique in Pennsylvania for its scope and content. More than 1,000 individuals have attended the Newly Elected Officials Course in its more than 30 years of existence, and the course has been distinguished as a recipient of the League of Women Voters Good Government Award.
The Newly Elected Officials Course or NEOC, offers a comprehensive overview of the duties of municipal officials, taught by experts in their fields. Reference material is provided to accompany each session. The course also introduces you to your peers in local government – an opportunity for networking and making new friends.
There are three course options you may pick from when deciding to attend:

- Saturday Only Sessions, includes Opening Day = $275
- Certificate Course, includes Opening Day = $450
