Storymakers is the name of a digital campaign, run by TechSoup, to increase storytelling capacity for the nonprofit sector and demonstrate the power of digital storytelling. TechSoup has been running this campaign for six years, combining an education curriculum, webinars, workshop events, contests, and galas.
Storymakers 2016 is open to libraries, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations. Submissions may be by an individual or an organization – all entries must be on behalf of a nonprofit. You can submit as many as you like but you may not submit the same story to multiple categories. You are encouraged to submit your highest-quality videos.
TechSoup will give away a $5,000 grand prize for best Storymaker. Other prizes will be given out as well. After our submission period closes on May 31, 2016, the voting period will begin on June 6, 2016, and close June 27, 2016. You can vote once per day in each category during the voting period. After our voting closes on June 26, 2016, a select group of judges will review the top submissions and choose the winners in each category.
